Counteracting State terrorism and nuclear Proliferation

Terrorism is perhaps one of the most difficult issues to resolve simply because there are unfortunately no clearly stated and acceptable definitions of it to date. Perhaps the area that poses the biggest challenge and most contentious area for authorities is that of state terrorism- or as many complicit media talking heads, and academic experts like to say, “State sponsored terrorism.” This brings us to the massive protest rally that is planned for the Iranian head of state on his New York visit for the 63 UN General Assembly debate carded this Monday.
The overly excited hockey mom and Republican contender Sarah Palin is fervently enjoying her “moose in the headlight,” moment in the spotlight amongst all the various gullible media, especially the likes of Rupert Murdoch’s super subjective Fox news. The big news is that she will take the stage along with super feminist pal Hilary Clinton in a pro- Israel, anti Iran protest event as America’s close ally attempt to curb once more Iran nuclear ambitions to join the powerful nuclear club along with Israel, India, Pakistan , France, USA , England , China ,and Russia. Shame on those that claimed that the Governor of Alaska lacks experience when she lives only a stones throw away from Russia, and like many Americans cannot control her daughter. Seriously, are there two more polarizing figures than these two women in the history of America? Let’s see there were Patty Hearst, Angela Davis, Eleanor Roosevelt, Anita Hill, Margaret Mead, and perhaps Afeni Shakur.
Back to the issue at hand to Iran’s major crime- it’s refusal to do a 360 like Libya and North Korea and back down from its intransigence stance in support of the wishes of one of the nuclear powers . One cannot help but have some sympathy for Iran and its extremely weak President for the moment. He has as much power as the corrupt outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Mr. Ehud Olmert , yet is looked at as having some type of clout as Libya’s Colonel Mohammar Quadaffi, or North Korea’s Kim Jong- il to make some meaningful decision when it comes to national security matters. Of course every one including experience ex-mayor Parlin of a 3,000 people state fame, know otherwise. Yet the Iranian President and his state remains a pariah and enemy in both the Jewish and Arab world, as well as members of the uninformed US public that depends on Wolf Blitzer and Larry King for objective news from CNN.
Here is a word of caution to Iran’s President Mr. Mahmoud Ahamandineja. Do the right thing and denounce the late Ayatollah and the 1979 US embarrassment attacks that brought Iran and Shiites Muslims to prominence. Try to put this aberration behind you , and in the process open up your oil wells to Israel and USA like was done under the Shah, then you can stand naked on the Gaza strip or on top of the Statue of Liberty, and say all that you desire , without fear of retribution , denunciations ,or protest.
Once more I refer to the business at hand that will commence on Monday in New York. The list of speakers are impressive including Nobel Laureate Eli Wiesel , but where in the world is Jimmy Carter the Israeli champion and peace advocate I wondered? Has an American President sacrificed more to preserve the interest of Israel and keep her neighbors in check? I am not too sure we’ll find any, but then I remembered 1979 and the part played by the peanut farmer in creating the Muslim first dent on a superpower supremacy via Iran ,and the eventual creation of Iraq’s Saddam Hussein to counteract the Gulf region destabilization nuclear enthusiast.
